Jeanne accomplished this by building a team of hospital supervisors, charge nurses, therapy leaders, and environmental services members who were focused on timely discharges, pulling admissions out of the ED when beds were ready, and optimizing resources for environmental services. Additionally, Jeanne successfully piloted and opened a discharge lounge and Inpatient Hallway Bed Program to improve ED efficiency and decrease walkout rates.
