Optimized Department Budget
Through review of the department budget, it was discovered that all areas for productivity were being calculated with outdated models and old budget information. By partnering with finance to develop new Units of Services, productivity increased from 60% to 100+%.
Managed Numerous ORs Simultaneously
Managed the perioperative anesthesia flow of units covering 13 ORs within the Main Hospital OR. Managed Outpatient Surgery Center with 4 OR rooms and 3 ENDO rooms through all phases of care. Included in OR management is the oversight of 72 staff members in these areas.
Improved Turn Over Time (TOT)
Took the average turn over time from 28 minutes to 20 minutes.
Transitional Leadership Skills
Lead the transition of the PACU into a temporary ICU (due to Covid surge). Which led to cross training PACU nurses to be ICU nurses while still providing PACU care for the urgent/emergent cases averaging 14-18 per day.
