2022 ANCC Magnet® & Pathway to Excellence® Conference Video & Recap

This year’s ANCC Magnet® & Pathway to Excellence® Conference was an event that could not be missed! As a proud annual exhibitor, HealthLinx looks forward to seeing all the new and familiar faces each year on the exhibition floor.

This year we wanted to share the experience through the eyes of our Project Management team of experts, who predominately got to experience the general and breakout sessions.

Here are a few tips from Holli Roberts, DNP, RN, after attending this year:

#1 Reserve your spot!

One of the best ways to attend the conference is to apply to be a poster or podium presenter. This enables you to share your projects with other facilities and ensures your conference attendance.  It also encourages your clinical nurses to conduct research or participate in current projects within your facility.

#2 Covering the ground

While you’re at the conference you’ll have a lot of ground to cover. Prior to arrival create a conference coverage plan with your attendee group. I’ve found that it’s best for the group to spread out during the conference. This will help to ensure you bring more ideas back to your facility. Don’t try to attend the same sessions or go to the same booths.

“My biggest take away was also my favorite session.”

This session was “The Nurse Sensitive Indicator Improvement Tool Kit,” on Thursday 10/13. I liked this session best because it spoke about improving quality indicators. The session provided attendees with simple tools to use and an effective way to monitor and improve quality indicators at the unit level. It was practical and narrowed the focus so that clinical nurses can concentrate on areas that are opportunities for their unit.

Do you feel inspired from this year’s conference like Holli? Let’s set up a time to talk and see how HealthLinx can be the right partner to help you reach your goals.
